well Joe ,, I have 2 films that will look totally different but do what you want, 1 last and perform great, 2 keep you legal. your state allows 32% all the way around,,, I can keep you under those guide lines and look good while doing it..
one will have a black look ,,, like this aka - charcoal film
the second has more of a grey look,, << this is what I have!
direct sun light
the only biggest thing about films is they look different under other light...
NO sun
the difference in the 2 films I have for you is one has metal (the grey) and will block more heat out as well as being a little easier to see out of...
the other is a NR meaning NON-reflective,, = NO metal ,, thats why it has a black look,, color stable and holds out great heat,
both will have a lifetime warranty so if you decided to take both you not going wrong either way....
I'm glad this has come up because it is an issue that we all need to think about I don't want any of my customers to have the first problem at all, rather it be recieving a sitation or warranty issue, having illegal film can be a bad choice for 2 reasons 1 no warranty 2 car accident, if you involved in a car accident you could be a fault even if it's not your fault for causing the collision, insurance companies are finding ways to not be liable for large lawsuits and having illegal window tint on your car can make you at default.
and believe me it's hard to keep up with the standards of todays cars ,, tha glass changes all the time from one manufacture to the next
our Nx has 79% VLT in the glass itself before tint and you other cars actually have less in there glass ,,,, when I'm done your glass and tint will have a VLT of 30% which will keep you 1% to the good... a VLT of 29% is border line with state laws,, lol and the light meters don't lie unless there broke..,,
Yes my car is legal for the state I reside in,, but back in the day ,, no way was I rolling without DARK WINDOWS.... ha ,, things change,
1992 NX2000 Driver door , factory tint in glass VLT 79% (blocking out 21% light)
38% film applied to glass ,, VLT is now 30% (blocking 70% light)
