225/50/15 tires have a dia of 23.9 inches. That is way to small for the motor and tranny combo you have.

Get some 17 inch rims on there. 17 x 8.

Get 225/45/17s. the tire dia will be 25 inches.

I recommend the Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R but it is very costly at $183.

If not get one of these for street tires

Hankook Ventus R-S2 $116
Kumho Ecsta MX $107

If you want a driag radial.

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial $146.

Not only will the car hook better out the hole. you will attain more top speed and have less wheel spin. You will have wheel spin in 1st but mid through 2nd you should hook and you will be gone. You will benefit all the way around.
