I think I had to grind down a couple of tabs on the intake manifold, no biggie. I think you can squeak it out without removing the intake mani...of course this is a highport. Check page 7 of my build...

goin on a cruise here in three days when i get back(like ten days or so...)

Why the fack would I want to get rid of power steering to do this though though?? I'm already sweating my arse off because of no ac!

I did this on my highport avenir det with EWP and ve oil pump w/mossy alum pulley , it takes a different approach because the brackets are too different. (And I'm not sure if the ve oil pump throws things off some too)

I cut a chunk out of the PS mount at the pivot, and ran a shorter belt on the inner side pulley. I hammered the PS adjusting bracket tip flat and used the rectangular square bolt things from the alt and PS pump. Then I picked up a new bolt and a piece of pipe to space the alt since the pivot is too short. And last relocated the cold idle reg to clear the alt and cleaned up some unused metal off of the bottom of the intake plenum.

Its a tight fit but it all clears the chassis.

I thought mikos made a bracket to relocate alternator years ago

He modifies the stock de bracket that only works for certain cars/ engine types.
