Calum is a hardware guy, he did provide us the hardware, then it's up to the individuals to tune with it. I bet people always complaining about tunes is what drove him to hate developing anything else for our cars.

I'm asking around for an RTV v2 xdf. Also you might be better off with a NEMU for output triggers .

Well the ECU isn't mine, so he might end up doing MSD or Greddy for triggering his cams. I can't wait for John to finish the NEMU boards (OBD II) with his tuning software AND Dave's Tunercode.. talk about a kick ass combination!

Oh and just for an FYI.. I'm running a Calum RTV1.5. I have a prototype board he did before he completed the RTV2. My ECU DOES activate my cams.

Lucky you! Is it a single activation or can you trigger them separately?

Dual of course. I can just set them via rpm, and upload the BIN to my ECU and it will activate. Pretty slick. Mine is a prototype.. he used it to finish deciding what he wanted to do with the RTV2 (which are considerably more advanced than my ECU). But mine does everything I need it too (except work with Nismotronic software at this time..)

Sounds real nice. Certainly better than having to wire in 1 or even 2 controllers for the VVL switch points. It's too bad Calum isn't around anymore. He did some good things for the SR community and has helped it get to where it is now. But Dave(dfddfd2) and John(JKTUNING) appear to be taking SR tuning capabilities in the right direction and to a whole new level. I am starting to enjoy my Calum RT v1 and look forward to learning more about tuning my VE!!

NEMU lets you activate cams on RPM, TPS, CLT, and other fun stuff! I'm going to be playing around with the triggers soon

I wish I could say the same about my VE! It's fun but it's slow (8 seconds 0-60). P11 is just too fat for it, can't wait to get my turbo manifold built and slap a T3 on there again.

Only used for Calums. Since your OBD1 check out NismoTronic ecu's. If your going to tune often get NEMU, otherwise any of the basic ECU's will work.

thanks for your reply @vadim.. actually currently i'm running on a sr20de obd1 (highport).. if i can't get calum i was thinking on b13 ecu (from nismotrunic) since i already have the ecu cable.. so hopefully soon. if i would like to upgrade like cams, injector or maf.. I can maybe do retuen on the ecu.. though not sure if it can be done on their basic b13 ecu..
