Cops probably wont because they are not car experts for the most part. When you go to pass emissions though if you have an OBDII car, they will try to use the OBDII port. If you have a standalone that port wont be functional AFIK.

You broke something, this is why it's highly suggested that you don't manually modify the XDF file. Did you make sure not to touch the Unique ID?

Pass emissions? We havent had testing in FL since I was in elementary school. Silly northerners.

Really? That's odd. I live in a small city so we have nothing, but near DC it's pretty intense.

It's also illegal to remove parts of your emissions equipment like your cat and your EGR, but people do that all the time too.

can I somehow wire a MAP sensor into an unused register in the ECU?

so if I wire a MAP sensor to my unused rear o2 sensor harness (pin 52), what do I need to do to log that value in datascan? I read here that the register number is 35: http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/images_ms/Generic_Nissan_ECU_Sensor_or_Data_register_table_Ver_2.pdf

but that doesn't make much sense, how can I find the address?

I would ask Dave in the TunerCode section about that one actually
