I had to make him a custom drivers axle, the spec-v axle was too long so I took the end pieces and put them on a b13 shaft and it fits fine

Why was there a severe axle bind issue on stock driver's side spec v axle? They are a little too long without having to make a hybrid axle which is not mentioned.

You couldn't actually install the axle fully, the top strut bolt on the spindle was off by half a bolt hole. The axles I tried were oem 04 and 06 spec v 6 speed non abs axles, at the end of the day a hybrid had to be made, we measured an the spec v axle shaft was only 1/16" thicker so not much beefier..
