Thread: Anyone had this happen? popped out of 3rd gear and makes horrible noise

I have a b13 with an avenir swap.


I was in 3rd gear and went WOT. Car popped out of gear. Now it makes a horrible grinding noise any time clutch isn't pushed in. Still goes into all gears and they seem to work. I know it needs to be torn down, I'm just curious as to what happened.

sounds about right, except for it seems to go into gear and move in 3rd, I limped it home and parked it, already spent all day working on other people's cars....
