Hockey Pucks for Motor Mounts
Since I know they don't sell the JWT (Nismo) motor mounts anymore, but has anyone every attempted the hockey puck as motor mounts DIY on our chassis/power etc?

Back in the old days of the SE-R mailing list, this came up. If you want a very firm mount, these will do the trick. But you are going to get a lot of vibration. Most DIY folks go the 3M Window Weld (#08609) route. Get some rubber gloves, apply it in layers and give it some time to dry, apply the next layer, etc. Can take a few days to fully cure, so either do this on a car you won't be driving for a bit, or have a spare set of mounts handy.

Thanks Jimbo_se-r I read about it somewhere so was unsuccessful finding that subject. So I figured might as well ask about the pucks haha

I've seen posts from other lists where this has been done. It's often a quick fix, and cheap. I'm not an expert on mounts, but you could probably do this for some of them and be OK, but the motor will have some flex normally, and I think it does need to move a little bit normally. I'd think that the front dogbone shouldn't really be solid, but for the rest, it might be OK.

But again, the more solid the mounts, the more vibration will transfer to the frame. And if there is any danger in cracking the block or tranny case from this, I can't say.
