Thread: 200sx Tranny into 92 NX2000 What mods are necesary?

So, I apologize if this has been discusses elsewhere, but I have not been able to find the answer to my question
My transmission has seemingly went out in my 92 NX2000, and options for used trannies around me are limited
I can mostly only find transmissions for the 200sx. And the 200sx has a digital transmission..
So what I am wondering, is if I can just remove my cable speedo from my transmission, and install it directly into the 200sx tranny
And if not, what modifications would be necesary?

yes just put your speed sensor in.no other mods as long as the trans in the 200sx is LSD.(95-97 2oosx se-r)
All 91-99 trans will bolt up. Just make sure you get LSD trans.

Great!, Thanks eggman, They couldnt tell me if it had LSD or not.. will go examine it sometime this week.. Thanks for the info.. have spent a week or so searching for this answer.

lsd has hump on transsmission driver side axle non lsd is flat where axle enters transmission

If we're talking about auto transmission then no they aren't interchangeable but manuals are, just change the speed sensor
