Thread: Lsd 01 sentra tranny tougher?

Is a non Lsd transmission from an 01 sentra se just as tough and against typical se20 weak tranny issues as the Lsd one?

Same gear stacks, shift forks, and syncros. Just a LSD diff vs. a open carrier. Most failures I have heard about are breaking gears and trashing syncros. I would say they are the same in strength but the open diff would probably last longer since you will probably break 1 tire loose instead of putting it to the ground like a LSD would.
