Help me figure out which tranny to pull SPEC whaa?
Here's the three vins. The cars have no trunks and I don't know which transmission works for the nx as "the best 6 speed". Here's photos of the vins.

Are any of them SPEC v? If so then I can nab the hubs and shifter while I'm there.
Thanks all!

They're all specs. And all have the same transmission code.
That being said, get the 05(black car). 02-03 had synchronizer issues.

Roger. And axle wise, Ashton mentioned "red" axles. Is there a way to Id those?

I got the 98 max hydro clutch and SPEC shifter cables/bracket. Going back to get hubs off a different one and the tranny next week. Any tricks to getting the weird shifter ends in the SPEC v shifter plastic not to turn in the casing and f it up? Ive busted two already

Axle FX41 and Axle FX44 mean difference in final drives. 41 means 4.11 final drive. 44 means 4.44 final drive.

Interesting! So is the "red axle" related to fx44 or fx41?

i believe red axles are just oem axles just as people refer to green axles being oem 5 speed

So after reading (and reading and reading) - If I get this correct, I'll be using spec v hub/brake/spindles and inner/outer cv axle ends, use my nx mid shaft. Is the extra 1" going to screw with my brake ratio?

I'm liking the 11" spec v vs 10" nx brake upgrade fronts though , and more importantly, the more readily available spec v hubs. I wonder too if the stock 15" nx rims will clear the b15 hubs...now for some searching.

FX44 and FX41 is just referring to the final drive ratio.

Have no clue about the red axles.
