Hydro clutch spacer

I'm currently running hydro clutch and started experience some clutch problems recently. In fixing this my mechanic also removed that spacer and the car has running fine without it for a week now. What are the negative implications for operated without that spacer? Thanks

It can be removed to help adjust the clutch. By adjusting the push rod on the pedal and either leaving it the spacer or adding it, you can change your clutch adjustment. I ran it without on my p11 with a hdpp and street disc and it never felt like it was depressed.

Thanks guys. I re-installed it yesterday only to find that i have to depress the clutch pedal all the way in to be able to change gears and even so i grind getting into reverse and it's very tough getting into 1st gear. What could be my problem? I'm running brand new Centric C-Tek master cylinder and AMS Automotive slave cylinder

Your pushrod is likely out of adjustment. It is on the pedal itself. Its a bitch to adjust, but it should correct your issue.

Yea I did extended this all the way out and it's the same problem. I also noticed that when i release the clutch pedal, it returns 90% and take another 3-5 secs to return all the way. I wondering if I may have gotten a faulty master cylinder.
