91 240 5 speed...
Is this a good swap for my 99 p11 trans??? It's 275 obo...

Wait, are you asking if the 240SX transmission will fit in your G20? If so, no they are totally different

Oh... Oh well. Didn't have the $ anyways... If I remember right it's the 91-94 ser tranny I want. Does that sound right?

What do you want out a transmission? There are a bunch some with minor, some with major changes.

All 5-speed Sentra SE-Rs years '91-94, and 200SX SE-Rs, years '95-97 have LSD if that's what you're looking for. Nissan ditched it in 98 at least in the B14 series.

Nah, looking for lower gear ratio in 4th and 5th. The touring model g20's already come with LSD...

Sounds to me like the 240sx transmission would be your best bet, not because it will work AT ALL but because it might teach you something.

Stick with what you have now it's your best option.

Hey now. No reason to troll. All I knew was an sr20 showed up on craigslist for a part out. Don't know about 240's, but I know my tranny pretty much sucks (a 1300 mile road trip showed me as much). Being that it was on craigslist I needed an answer faster than I could research...

What's wrong with the current trans? If you want better gearing (for N/A purposes) then go with a B13/B14 trans as Storm mentioned.
