Thoughts on this clutch?
I have a '99 G20t with a '92 intake cam, 2.5" header and 2" cat-back with stock Infiniti muffler. Advanced timing and pulls hard to redline in every gear, except 5th 'cuz it's illegal to get it that high.

My PP has a grove worn in and pedal action sucks so it's time to replace. I think the springs in the disc are lose and rattling too. I drive spiritedly, and I can feel the current setup slip a bit more than it should. More than my B15 sr20 did. Especially with that older tranny ratio, 1st needs a lot of slip to match the mostly stock power. It feels like the motor now has more power than the stock clutch installed by the Infiniti dear can hold.

Would this clutch disc with a stock or slightly better PP be OK for daily driving. Or a PITA for traffic? The B15 disc was OK for most of my driving with the VE.

Nismo Clutch Disc 2.0, Nismo Clutch Disc Sprung center and composite lining. Requires OE throwout bearing.

I'd go with the second one.

I'm pretty sure that exedy did the oem clutches, I'm also pretty sure that the Nismo one is sourced from the same supplier. stage 2

The eBay Exedy package seemed too cheap for all that was included. Seemed too good to be, good.

I went with a Stage 2 from G-Spec. I know the B15 disc well, and it works. If I keep the G20 long enough to wear out the Key Value cover again, my son will be replacing the next one anyway

If it wen't for the stupid clutch springs popping out and the groove that the release bearing wears into the clutch cover tines, the whole setup would last another 80k mile on average.

I had the Exedy stage 2 clutch on my bolt on 97 DE - 60k trouble free miles and no complaints. then again it only made 138WHP

All the exedy stuff seems to work well, even the eBay exedy packages.

Exedy should be the manufacturer of the B15 disc in Greg's stage 2 kit.

I have had 3 Exedy dics that have the spring retaining clips wear, allowing the springs to rattle loose. haven't lost a spring yet though. I think the center disc is made too cheap, even on the Execy disc. The metal fatigues where the springs meet the center disc. Needs improvement.

It is Valeo, the Nissan OEM manufacturer. I just got one a few months ago. And years ago when I ordered a B15 disc, also had Valeo on it.

Hmm. The disc I took off my B15 sr20 had Exedy stamped on it.
