I had been making a grinding noise for a while, and my steering was acting up too. However, I wonder why the metal that is broken looks clean and fresh and not rusted? If it had been like that for a few days or so, wouldn't it have surface rust? Hmmmm. Well I wouldn't put it past a mechanic to act like it was always there (no offense to any mechanics here) but its too late to go back and bitch about it now. If they got me, they got me. I'll never go there again. I usually do my own work on my cars but I don't have a garage and its been too cold up here.
