In my opinion the 20V gear box with the 2002 Spec V 4.429 FD is the best all around NA gear box possible.
Here is the reason why launching these 6 speed trans on the street NA in 2nd gear will work and work great.
SER makes stock 125 WHP
All 2.3L and 2.4L VE motors will make 250-275 WHP
SER @ 125 WHP and VE 2.3-2.4L @ 250-275 WHP is a ( 100-120% increase in WHP)
SER Gear box
1. 3.063====44 MPH
2. 2.086====73 MPH
P12 6 Speed Gear box
1. 3.153====37 MPH
2. 1.944====61 MPH
The P12 2nd gear ratio - 61 MPH is 39% longer than the SER 1st gear 44 MPH.
The VE 2.3L-2.4L which is 125% more WHP than the standard DE motor is still in the favor of the big motor. So inconlusion the VE motor will have no problem launching in 2nd gear which will translate into very little tires spin and way more forward motion
