This is a question with lots of answers.

GTIR DET will not bolt on without mods. You will have to sleeve the flywheel for the smaller bolts of a DE. Also the flywheel will not clear the DE trans GTIR 240mm and DE 215mm.

S13-S14 DET will nolt up as they run the same flywheels bolts as a DE but most RWS flywheels are 240mm and do not fit in the DE trans. Now there are some flywheel clutch setups for a RWD DET that wlll work but these are usually the twin disc setups which are smaller than the standard DET flywheel and clutch.

At the end of the day your asnswer it no it will not fit.

Where did you get a DET one? Most DET's I've seen have flex plates

Manual Bluebirds. They are the same size as GTiR but have the same bolt holes as any other DE. But you will need to use a 50series gearbox with it

Will the XTD ProLite be suitable for my SR20VE which is used on the track and sees 8200 rpm on a regular basis?
Im using a Exedy Stage 1 clutch.

Competition Clutch makes good products. I don't think many forum members are running a CC flywheel in their SR set-ups, though. I will be running a CC flywheel in my next set-up.


Vadim, I believe that the info. in this thread (RE Competition Clutch specifications) is either out-dated or otherwise). As I mentioned up above, I will be running a CC flywheel on my VE, so I have done some research on their FWD SR20 product availibility. I spoke to a local vendor regarding specs and his numbers were confirmed by Competition Clutch when I spoke to them directly, via email.

Here is what I discovered:

Despite what is shown in the Competition Clutch catalog, they offer 2 different setups for the FWD SR20 engine.


P/N: 2-727-ST = 10.9 lbs. (Comp. Clutch weight claim) (OBD1 and OBD2 compliant)

Ultra Lightweight

P/N: 2-727-STU = 8.5 lbs. (Comp. Clutch weight claim) (OBD1 and OBD2 compliant)

Here is a link to an "STU" flywheel for an '01 Sentra (exact same as other MY FWD SR20), that shows the listed weight as 8.5 lbs.

Also, the picture you have for the "STU" flywheel is actually a picture of the older style of that flywheel. Here is a current picture of their "ST" flywheel.


Here is a current pic of the "STU" flywheel. You can see it has more material taken away in the centre of the flywheel and also by the ring gear.

This is the one from eclutchmasters:

Sentra G20 200SX SR20DE Liteweight Racing Flywheel SFI | eBay

It looks a little bit different from the screenshots. And the weight is 12.6 lb. They declare 13 lb in their ebay shop, so that is good news.

This unit has 109 teeth. The bad news is that I ordered the 108 teeth for my mexican-assembled P11 2000. It seems that they have both items in their ebay catalogue. I will try to go on with the installation, since for me it would be very expensive to return the item.

I share this information, since I found this thread very helpful when I was taking the decision to buy a flywheel.
I have a last question... what are the implications when installing a 109 teeth flywheel in a ODB2 car, aside to have just the check engine light on? I read the whole thread, and I could not read anything about precise mechanical/performance drawbacks.
