You should add realistic spead limits to the mix, aka 70,75,80 mph. Thing that sucks about Google drive, I can't save a local copy to play with!

Go to the gearstack worksheet. It has the 04+ box calculations that you can also change your tire diamters and so on. Its in the manifesto. It uses the 04+ ratios

Vadim, according to the gearstack worksheet, you should be at 70mph with a 195/65/15 tire at 2450 rpm in 6th gear with the 04 Spec V box.

If you use an 02-03 maxima gearstacks and FD you could expect to be around 2100 rpm in 6th at 70mph. So pick your box wisely. lol.

Sweet thanks! I also just found the option to download it as XLS, Google rocks!

With my current tire diameter, 24.7",
04 gear stack:
75mph - 2657rpm
70mph - 2480rpm

03 Maxima gear stack:
75mph - 2451rpm
70mph - 2287rpm

00 P11 Gear stack:
75mph - 3222rpm
70mph - 3007rpm

So yeah for it to be worthwile I think I need to find an 03 Maxima trans, but they are worse quality like the older spec's right?

No, syncro issue was resolved in the 03+ models. Just find an 03 box and youll be good.

Sounds easy enough then (well not really, finding import parts is impossible in my area)

Thats a good question. I believe it does have the provision but you have to drill it out and tap the bolt hole. I believe the flywheels have the proper amount of teeth as well to not trigger a cell. Look through coheeds thread as Im almost certain he did this mod. It should be in there.

There are provisions for the sensor, and it does work. But it does tend to be a little finicky. Make sure everything lines up right and you should be good.

Thanks guys, for all who are doing 96 and newer with the crank sensor mounted in the trans here is what needs to be done not sure if i did it 100% correct but it looks pretty good to me I will look at it better once I get the trans mounted and scope it once its running. I still need the get the trans mount bracket and clutch master reservoir to get started on the swap. Here is some pics of the sensor mounted and hole drilled out on the provision for the sensor. I used a 1/2 drill bit for the sensor hole, 13/64 drill bit for the 6mm x 1.0 pitch tap for the mounting bolt for the sensor (bolt used 6mmx1.0 pitch thread)

Well, my clutch came in today, and as promised I'm posting up pics. Unfortunately this flywheel does hit the starter area like the JWT version, but that's it. Everything else seems fine. I'll be taking it to a machine shop tomorrow with the pressure plate bolted to it. Both need material removed from the outer edge. 5mm for the PP, and 2mm for the FW. 2mm is max for this because at that point it will be right at the edge of the bolt head. The PP hangs out 3mm past the FW, and the lip of the FW 2mm past the bolt heads.

As I posted before, I bought the flywheel for $408.00 shipped from driftworks.com, and I got the 89-94 maxima 2200 lb. pressure plate and 6 puck ceramic sprung clutch disk from Tennessee Clutch and Supply for $210.00 shipped. I was googling and saw a post on nicoclub.com that the max clutch was the same as the RWD DETs (240mm). You'll have to call to order since they don't have a website. They were posts on a few other forums talking good stuff about this custom clutch business.

I'll post more info, and pics after my FW and PP get machined. I will still have to grind some of the bellhousing by the starter, but it doesn't look to be very much.
