It depends on the car it's going in. On my P11 B15 2.5 axles worked perfectly (maybe a hair short). When I was thinking of doing the 6 speed on my B15 SE, I would have had to get the Spec V hubs since the axles were thinner.

Look up Empire axles, they are usually really good about giving you each axles spline count and sizes, 1.8's might work if your throwing it in a B chassis.

Mercado, 1.8S hubs are smaller axle splines, like a b13 or b14, so 2.5 Spec V axles can only be used with those IF you hybrid the axles end that goes through the hub spline area.

Please, someone tell me if I'm wrong, is this how to hybrid axle?

I ordered 2x Spec V 2.5 axles, and I will post my findings once they arrive...

(driver side)
The mid shaft on the b15 axle will be longer than the b13's midshaft, you might have to use the b13 outer and b13 midshaft.

Alright so more like this?

Sorry for cluttering up this thread, but I really want to make the hybrid swap more attainable.

That is certainly an option you can do.
My hybrid setup is this isotope.

That should work, but finding g the combination for the pass side that works is like finding the holy grail apparently. Easiest to have that one side resplined

Yep, finding the right axle with the correct spline to do that passenger axle is next to impossible. I somehow lucked out with the very first pair i ever did. The driver axle is easy. Now there is also another little secret you can do to help shorten the axles for those that have binding issues as well. A honda guy gave me this idea recently. You can take the actual joint that attaches to the midshaft, pound it further down the axle and cut a new groove for the c-clip. The guys that had binding issues really only need about 1/2" more of cv play. Doing this can give you almost 3/4" So for those using full on b15 axles and hub setups and dont want binding issues mainly caused by the driver side axle, give that a shot, dissasemble the axle and pound the joint at the inner cv down further onto the shaft and make your own new groove for a c'clip
