I was trying to take it easy until I could get to it over the break but it's too late...F'd my new bushing!

I can't seem to locate my JWT front dogbone mount but plan on swapping the crossmember with solid JWT rear mount very soon.

That doesn't look good at all. Out of curiosity, has anyone brought this to Mazworx's attention?

I need to rule out some things before I go that route...but it's definitely on my mind!

Being this car was some what of a mule for this swap, there's always that possibility that it's a couple mm's off I guess. How many B14's have the RS6 swap?

It seems to be a prevalent problem as your swap isn't the only one experiencing this same issue. Making the spacer larger in diameter would be a good solution, but it still wouldn't stop the mount from traveling around the mount.

I didnt drive mine alot but the times it was driven i had no such issues and that was with more power than what Coheeds car is making on pump gas. That was hard launches, pulls on the street all the way through 5th gear and so on. Didnt even show signs of doing that. Its quite possible a rear mount issue. With the old t67 setup i wanst running a front dogbone either and have only been running one of the spacers which was put on the firewall side of that mount because i couldnt fit two. This setup I purchased a solid front dogbone. Solid steel, no play. Again my mounts are perfect and my trans mount definitely isnt trying to do what yours is doing.

Its a very weird issue.

I'm not sure that would resolve his issues... It would result in the same issue. That won't stop the bracket from traveling along the mount itself.

The one thing I think of is maybe the cars that are seeing this prob have stock,weak,or lack there of motor mounts front and rear so when there are driving the car the motor is rocking back and forth and actually walking the bushing in the mount.

Yeah, its got to be the rocking back and forth doing it, its got to be. Being that is the side it would be pushing on.

is your frame straight? maybe you have something structural

I asked that question. Frame is straight, no wrecks.

I'll be looking at this closer today, and replacing the rear mount with my JWT solid regardless...

@boostednx - the mounts are all poly iirc. It's definitely gotta be rocking though and there has got to be some "slop" somewhere for this to happen imo. The rubber in the dogbone was previously melted due to manifold setup/clearance and was remedied (or maybe not) with some glass weld or something like that.
