I am indeed interested in finding out where and how those axles were breaking. Is it a known fact that the reason they were breaking was because the car was too low? or is it just speculation?

Are there any comparison pictures of the Spec V axles in relation to the B13/B14 axles? How much longer is the Spec V axle?

These are questions I feel need to be answered to ensure that this is definitely a viable option and not a bandaid to a 6 speed swap.

If i have an issue with the driver side axle DSS said they can make an axle the correct length. it will be awhile before I get to that point tho.

I believe I was reading on here somewhere it was due to the cv joint was bottoming out in the cup that it sits in because the car was very low.

Also, don't know if it's been mentioned but the reverse lights may need to be lengthened...if you want them.

Yes, send in the stock b13 hubs to be resplined. You dont need to send your axles in any longer. They only needed his axles to verify the splines to make the cuts.

As far as the driver side axle, you have to take into account the car that broke them didnt break them until over 600whp and his car is slammed which may have only added to the issue.

Good thing is that the b13 midshaft for the driver side axle is easily swappable because its the same size splines on the inner and connection to the outer joint. Just swap the roller bearings for the inner joint on to the b13 midshaft and then install it into the spec outer joint and done. Easy as that. That will put the axle back to its normal length and shouldnt have any issues. If your car isnt slammed, I highly doubt you will have any issues.

Coheed made over 500+ with his spec axles in the b14 with no issues as well. The b15 hubs and knuckles dont move them any further out so if it would have been a problem, it would have shown itself on his setup as well, which it didnt.

Anyways, feel free to send the hubs in guys. More people that do it the more they will see the interest in it and maybe offer upgraded axles and so on for those that need them.

Thanks Josh for sending your stuff in to have it done. This makes things sooo much easier. No more swapping brakes or having to dig through axles and make a hybrid set if your lucky enough to find the correct passenger axle.

Manny, the axle was breaking at the midshaft. Just snapped it clean in half. Again over 600+whp before it happened. And I believe he gave it a go twice and same thing.

I dealt with Tad. Frank wasn't there when I drove there to drop my stuff off.
