Because a stock bell housing fits .. like stock. Why would you need a custom bell housing? Mazworx use to sell an adapter and machine the stock housing, but it was cheaper for them and the end user to just use the P12 housing.

But once you factor in the custom flywheel and custom/Z32 clutch is it really that much cheaper?

Keep in mind that I have not done this so it's a valid question. What is the total cost once you buy everything.

If that is the same flywheel I am thinking about you have to grind down the P12 bell housing. BTW Mazworxs doesn't have the P12 bell housing in stock. It's a once in a while thing, I tried to buy one but they didn't have any and didn't know when they were getting them in. So in the long run I just bought a 20V transmission along with the 05 spec V trans.

This is why I'm asking in the end how much would you really save over building a custom bellhousing. P12 bellhousing is not something you can just go to your local JY and ask, "hey got any of those 2002-2008 primera's back there."

I geuss it goes back to what you really want and how much are you willing to spend for it.
