3rd: 1.286
4th: 0.975
5th: 0.756

Can you check on the final drive ratios for the SR16 gearboxes. I'm pretty sure those are 4.43 final drives. Also, isn't the B15 SE RS5F70V final drive a 4.43 also?

Yes, SR16VE boxes are 4.437.

The above URL provides you with gear ratios for all makes of Nissan vehicles.

Epic bump I know. Always better than starting a new thread though, right?!

Is there still a website/app like this?

Right now I have a 8.1 2nd gear and i am running out of RPM's. I believe a 7.5 would give me an extra 500rpms or so.

Right now i have a 5.7 3rd gear and I am not turning ENOUGH RPMs. I believe a 6.2 would give me the more revs i need.

I am already running the bigger tires to help for 2nd gear tracks and the smaller tires for the 3rd gear to help.

I have a b14 lsd transmission with both the 4.1 and 4.4 FD available to me. I am willing to spend some money to get he RPMs i need, as having the correct gear on a circle track is crucial.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Actually I think a 7.3 2nd would be better.

I can get the correct 3rd gear with a big FD, however this puts me way out of wack for 2nd gear.

I have read that you cant swap individual gears on a stack, something about them being made onto the main shaft, not sure i fully understand, because when i swapped FD before i had to press all the gears off... perhaps it is the other shaft where they are made on to?

Ok I get it now, the input shaft is solid.

You can not swap individual gears on the factor trans. The only gear that can be changed is 5th gear.

Now if you want to have a gear box tailored for your needs all you got to do is tell me what MPH you want to do at 8000 RPMs in every gear and I can come up with something for you and I can have PAR make a gear set for you. Cost will be about $3000-3200. You can get straight cut gears or helical gears 1-4th and press on your factory 5th gear or $3600 or so with a 5th gear of your needs.

I have a very comprehensive .XLS I put together earlier this year when I was deciding what trans to put in my 97. I just need a way to post it so that all can benefit.

If you can email me that would be great, (cgault11@gmail.com).

I used the formulas in the spreadsheet earlier to figure out the gear i need... problem is unless i go full custom i am not going to find a gear stack with a tall 2nd and short 3rd like i need.

The MFactory 4.7 final puts 3rd exactly where i need it, but then 2nd is waaaay too short.

You can post it up here, or host it somewhere and I'll post it to the forum for you.
