So my B13 DE-T probably have close to 400WHP @ 16psi because my car runs 12.8 @115 on street tires and a 330 lbs driver jejejeje.. I dont think soo...

You need to trap atleast in the high 120's to be in the low 11's. You still have a ways to go.

Have you considered taking some weight out of the car?

Rob, from looking at his times I don't think its weight thats killing him..I think the tune he has is no good..For the power your making vs your trap speed, something isn't right. Granted you didn't, but 13.2@114..If you didn't hook like you said @ 442WHP your traps should of cleared 120 mark.

IMO this is why I think the whole VET thing is a waste, everyone that has a VET or doing a VET just wants the highest WHP period. DET's are doing the same if not better then every VET on the forums. T28 & GT28RS are trapping your speed on a DET.

I personally think you should get rid of the JWT, look into a Calum Real time or go stand alone.

I have said it since day one this car is not performing the way it should. I am not knocking on the car. I know Coheed is having fun with the car but, I like you Nick feel the car for the power its making should be faster.

Coheed maybe you should condsider actually getting the car tuned. Add a S-AFC or maybe switch to another tuning method.

Nick, I would not say that the VE-T thing is a waste. I have driven high whp DET's DE-T's and VE-T's and I will tell you from my experience that the VE-T's feel stronger. Now I am not knocking the DE. Still a huge fan of it.

Manny's VE-T car at high boost was just simply amazing. The car had the wickedest top end I have ever felt out of any SR powered car I have ever driven. To this day it is the fastest SE-R I have driven. I know for a fact Manny's car would have been a low 11 second high 10 second car with a kickass trap. I am not saying the same could not be had by a DE I am just backing up the potential of a well built VE on boost. **** look at the mazworx car.

I think the 442whp was a one-time dyno run. He's running the car at something like 360whp now. Plus SE-Ls are stupid heavy.

Nah, I am cool with the tune. This track run was about 348whp uncorrected. Don't look at my dyno numbers and figure the car should be doing better. It should. But this was about 20psi which at sea level is about 410-415wheel. Remember I am at 4500ft and that has a big impact on power. I don't really care much though. I wanted to run the car on the track in complete street trim. Who cares how fast you car is on the track unless you are competing or looking for the best time possible. I believe this same setup would be good for a high 12 no problem, I just really needed to get in some more runs. This was my 2nd time at the track. I did 13.3 @ 114 a few months ago at a diff track on 15psi, but it took about 15 runs to get down that far.

True. I am not making excuses. Everyone wants to compare numbers to numbers, they should at least know some background on the car. I think the lower boost really helped me when I ran before because I had better traction in 2nd. 20psi=no traction.

Perhaps we should compare apples to apples here. I have full interior, all season tires, and pump gas. What would you expect I should run with 350whp and this setup? I laid waste to a caddy CTSV supercharged. He ran 11.7 at sea level on the same tires he has now. From a roll this car has a kick. No excuses. The car ran what it ran. I am happy with it.

Rob I'm sure that is 110% the truth. I think Manny & Lance both had awesome builds, I respect what both did..The power band of a VET vs DET is gonna be different. Hand down the VE head is one of the best flowing SR head. IMO the amount of money invested in a VET you could do almost, if not same as a VET for 1/4 the price. I know for a fact myself a VET will be insane on a top end over a DET. But we all know its next to impossible to get them to hook up in the 10's..We just don't have the gearing to do so as were Honda's can do 9-10 like it isn't ****. Sometimes more isn't always better as some of us think, as from your build you know 100% of what I mean. I just feel that all the power from a VET should only be in a RWD car. Mazworx has a very nice car, but there is no way there car could be compared to any ones VET on this forum.

Either way, you understand the point I'm talking about and headed. I'm not knocking the VET etc, its just got I personally feel about it..Im far from hating, and or being cheap. Just staying how I feel

Do you have and data logs of your ignition/fueling? From what Ive seen myself, JWT likes to really hold back on there timing.. Screw what others say about your car dude, as long as your happy. Thats all that counts.
