b15ve first time out
After getting off work late and making it to the track with only an hour till closing i was able to get 3 runs in. It was my first time out, and i didn't know what to expect.
My mods:
Sr20ve -build date 01/98
Hotshot gen 5
Nismo Intake with Bypass
calum ecu timing 15 deg
Vsafc 2 vvl on at RPM
Outlaw thermo-spacers
EiBach lowering springs 1.4f/1.5r
Kyg2 shocks
2.5in exhaust cat back
factory cat

run 1 Run 2 Run 3
r/t - 0.439 - 0.394 - 0.501
60ft - 2.721 - 2.631 - 2.480
330 - 6.848 - 6.960 - 6.658
1/8 - 10.301 - 10.408 - 10.098
mph - 71.85 - 70.84 -70.95
1000 - .000 - 13.382 -.000
1/4 - 15.690 - 15.856 - 15.543
Mph - 91.98 - 91.48 - 90.72

First run i bogged a bit off the start i let-out at 1300 rpm, spun 1 and half of second, cherped third.

Second run, Kinda went with the windows down... lol oops it happens, but i got a stupid and i mean stupid amount of wheel hop.... all through first and second gear.

Third run same thing but with windows up, stupid amount of wheel hop, in first and second and was shifting at 7500 rpm or trying to the whole time.

the temp was like 9 deg, the track prep was ****, even in the burn out box i was getting wheel hop?

In the next week i need to research on how to stop wheel hop and i am going to lower my tire psi to a solid 22-25 not 30 like this time i had them at.

What are ur thought comments and tips would be great guys

Thanks

rob

26-28psi should be good for launching the b15. you should be able to launch around 2500 more or less with minimul wheelspin.

on the talks of wheel hop, there are no prothane mounts for the b15, just mount inserts. gotta make them yourself

after installing some Nitrous the car ran a 14.65 at 98mph, but it was my first time out with nitrous and i think i can do better, my 60ft was 2.6, so if i can bring that down i think i can get her down to a low 14... i hope
