First off awesome car and driving.. Second, what rpm do you launch and shift at? What afr did you tune the car to? I am gna do a similar build but with N1 pistons. I hope I can get similar results.. Here's a link to my car build: http://www.sr20-forum.com/drag-strip/37196-guam-sr20ve-new-times.html

It's not a different engine, it's just a heavily modified SR20VE with a bigger bore and longer stroke.

Ok that's cool just seen a guy run mid 12s with a sr24n/a and a gutted b13 on street tires making 226 hp but dont know the torque number's. Do you know any one that has done a sr24de? Does it cost much to do a sr24ve?

^I think you are confused. This car is the car that made 226whp and it is a 2.0L VE. Read the post below. The 2.4VE makes around 270+.

That car should run 12.1-12.0 on slicks!!
I will be interesting when the swap the 2.4VE in that chassis
This is only with 226whp The 2.4VE will make 270whp+
So you do the math!!!

I have no Idea where did you get those numbers. The sr16 pistons net from 12:1 to 12:7 depending on head gasket and valve notches. They in no way go to 13cr or over.

16ve non n1 piston dome 9.6cc
ve combustion chamber 41.8cc
bore 86mm
stroke 86mm
gasket bore 87mm
compressed gasket 1.1mm
ptd 0.05mm

do the calcs yourself,
Engine Compression Ratio (CR) Calculator
Engine Size and Compression Calculator

the post you linked has a modified combustion chamber and i presume it's n1 pistons as they have a 6.8cc piston dome iirc

Yes they do Edrick!!! It goes up to 13.0:1 Which is why you had to lower so much the timing on your motor...
Forget about those threads!!
Go to the calculators!!
If you look at CP's 12.5:1 SR20VE 86mm pistons you will notice that the dome its smaller than Regular SR16 pistons N1 Pistons its another story they are more like 12.5:1 since the dome its smaller!!!

^truth. What are you guys running for peak timing? I'm guessing like ~25*?

Well. I got them mixed then. Always thought N1 pistons were high 11 or low 12 cr. and regular sr16 like 12:5.
Well the pistons are not modified so that makes it 13:1 then. Ours don't have deeper notch jobs.

Im @ 25 but I had a few problems not helping that day. We'll be able to bump it up a little now. And im going to get better gas I don't think the car had a decent 91 oct. that day. ill be doing a 91 tune and a 100oct tune.

Pitos is at 30*

Payu their going to be selling FTW racing fuel that would be interesting to test.
