Yeah you have a good point but my bfg wore out almost as fast as the m/t and they didn't hook even close to the m/t's so for me the decision is easy if they last close to the same then why wouldn't you get the better tire. If you want somthing a little stickier with a better tread life then a nice rouadcourse tire might be better suited for your needs like the azenis it's not a drag radial but it's stickier than a regular all season but lasts longer than a drag radial. And to answer your question I dont drive all the time with slicks on the car because there sidewalls are to weak and I have to drive like a turtle around exits.
