Well I bit the bullet and picked up some Pirellis in 225/50/15 and I can say that traction is a heck of a lot better than with my old 195's.The only thing I have to watch out for is the tire rubbing if I try to lock the wheel to do a U-turn but that's no biggie, I don't drive my b14 daily and if I do, its just to take my daughter to school or run a couple errands, so that's cool with me.

Odd, I have no issues at full lock with 225s on the B13.

Edit: Oh wait, you have a 50-series sidewall, no wonder. =/

Im running 225/50/15 on my 15x6.5 mb five stars with a 38mm offset on my dd b13, no rubbing unless at full lock.
No street tire will ever grip as good as a similarly sized drag radial. Just won't.
