Best Drag Radials? 250-300WHP
Whats up guys, What are you using in 250-300 WHP Street cars?

In the past Nitto Drag Radials weren't as good as BFG's but now it appears there are more options ( havent drag raced in a good 6 years ).

Just looking to see if any of you guys have experience with any of the below tires. I need to buy 2 drag radials and then 2 rear tires.

Requirements ( stick to 205/50 15 )

So far my options are below ( leaning towards mickey thomson's ).

  • BFG Drag Radial
  • Nitto Drag Radial
  • Mickey Thomson Drag Radial
  • Toyo Drag Radial

Or is there a nice street tire that hooks pretty good and can be used at all 4 corners? ( not a tire that wears out instantly like AZENIS ).

Looking for some input, Need to purchase 4 tires asap for the spring / summer.

Thanks,

Go with the 225/50/15 MT ET Streets. I know you want 205 but honestly the 225's are a perfect fit.

Are you planning on using these strictly for the track ? Or are you gonna be playing on the street ?

Subscribed. My Azenis are pretty much slicks now after about 6 months so I'm looking for a good tire as well. I have only tried the kumho ecsta ast and those were absolute crap compared to the falkens. So, I'm looking fr some new fronts that will hook decently and not wear out in 6 months like my falkens did.

M/T ET Streets 225/50/15

Im saying this because Bes said it first and I def agree 110%. If your looking to drive on them all the time they will most likely wear out after 10k miles(average)

Hoosier makes some nice DR's for FWD. I'm have 215/60/14 BFG's, they will only last about 3k with me. Everytime I go to the track burnouts passes 10-15 runs on aveage, street abuse and use. BFG's hook ok on street but on track they are great. M/T seem to work better in the street but they wear a little faster than BFG's.
