i got into the 11s...
in the 1/8th.

i went to the local track on opening day to see waht the auto b15 se could run. this is what my printout says.

to launch, i did the brake + gas method at about 1800rpms. minimal wheel spin, and launched like a bat outta hell. it seemed that i outlaunced every car that i 'went up against' but then 50mph came and i was left in the dust.

perfect r/t = .000

rt = .052
60' = 2.650
330 = 7.456
1/8th = 11.367
MPH = 63.47
1000 = 14.698
1/4th = 17.537
MPH = 79.57

this is on an auto b15 sr20de with a place racing cai, hks catback, rota 16'' slipstreams full weight. i do have a code for a bad o2 sensor, so im told that if i replace it it'll make a big difference. suppostally stock auto b15 se's are suppost to run high 16s. i seriously doubt that an o2 sensor will pick up a second lol.

this track was at an altitude of 650ish ft above sea level, so i dont know the correction formula or if they did it for me already.

Your o2 sensor makes a HUGE difference. If it's defective, the ECU runs super rich as a default, to prevent detonation/lean condition. THe ECU has NO idea what your AFR is, so it just throws fuel at the motor.

You'll definitely see an improvement.

Umm, that's wrong. Assuming he has the gas floored for the entire run, at WOT at any engine speed the ECU will be under open loop mode, in which the O2 readings are ignored. Cruising and idle is mostly closed loop, thats were a bad O2 would really cause an issue.

Do'h! I wasn't really paying attention. Good catch. Guess I need more coffee.

No offense but I think thats a little slow. Def think the o2 may of made a difference. My stock 93 se-r ran 10.2 in the 1/8th I dont know if auto and manual make that much of a time difference.

transmission has to make a difference. in the auto, gearing goes like so:

1st - 46
2nd - 70ish
3rd - 125ish
4th - should be like 150 or so.

but, with the manual its like :

1st - 36
2nd - 62
3rd - 94
4th - 131
5th - 166

plus, the manual version with the performance package comes with the slip as well, and you can launch from 3k apposed to 2250ish

here is a couple examples :

Did you manually shift the car to keep it in higher rpms? My b15 auto doesn't like staying in 3rd too long when flooring it, so it's like quick 1st, fast 2nd, short 3rd, loooooooong arse 4th...(which, if you didn't manually shift, would be why you felt sluggish and watched everybody go by at 50mph).

Where are those auto gearing numbers coming from? My 01 SE gets to maybe 30mph in first, 70 in second, about 100 in third and tops out at 127-128mph.

You can stay in third to 125mph?!!!
