Thread: Recommended tires

I have 15"x7" wheels.
I have a DET and p11 trans.
What tire (for drag only) would you recommend for my wheels?

Mickey Thompson DR's or BFG DR's.

If its drag only you have no option other then a slick. 15x7 id run m&h 15x23x7.8-8.

Depends on what you want man, If your looking for tires for street/strip use as in you dont want to take them off and change them out for street tires then Drag radials would fit that need. 225/50/15's in particular are size of choice.

If your looking for something to put on them for drag racing purposes you could go with a 22X8X15 if your under 300whp, or a 23X8.5X15 for above 300whp.

How would drag radials do at autox?

If you want a tire for both its going to be tough. You want super soft sidewall foe drag and extra stiff sidewall for autox.

i like autox more, but my next set of street tires are going to be RS3.

Since NT01s are DOT legal but recommended for competition use. Does that mean you can use them on the street?
