Falken Azenis 615k at the Race Track!! HEAT Up or Not??
Hey Guys, i've got a set of Falken Azenis RT615K and i was just wondering if i should Heat them up at the 1/4 mile or not.. Go around the water box, or drive through it and give it a Good BURN OUT???

Thanks.

They are somewhat street tires so usually you wouldnt really need to do a burnout, but you could just dodge the water box and do a small burnout just to get any "dirt" off your tires.

They tend to lose grip when they get hot at an autox, you see guys spraying them down with water to cool them off. I'd say skip the water box and give them a quick dry scrub.

Those tires are far from drag radials and a burnout isnt going to do much. Taking Azenis to the drag strip is just wasting tires that wear out to quickly anyway.

Azenis are a street tire... they aren't that good for drag. All the boy here have spit the truth...

i think i've hit a 2.1 60" with them, dont remember if they were on my Kumho Ecsta or my Azenis, but this was on my 03 Maxima 3.5L Auto. i've got more than a couple 2.2 60" and some 2.3 60"s

Funny thing is people swear by them at the drag. They are just as good as any other street tire there... they are just a softer compound imo. Getting them super hot will turn them into peanut butter and won't help. Just roll around the box, and do a quick burnout, as long as they are decently warm they are sticky enough. You can run them as low pressure as you want, but they have too much sidewall rigidity to do real damage grip wise with low pressure. Maybe run like 20-22psi lowest IMO.
