High HP turbo w/street tires -- Traction Advice?
Hey,
I plan on going to the strip this summer and I'll probably be rolling street tires. That being the case, what are you guys with high HP turbo cars doing to help control traction?
My profec B II EBC has a high/low setting for boost. I'm thinking this would help, but I can't really 'test' this theory. It would seem to make sense that lowering the boost 1st - 2nd and then raising it in top of 2nd or 3rd would help get better times due to controlling wheel spin. I've launched and driven my car w/low stock boost setting and I seem to get better traction but I'm not convinced I'm actually gaining speed any quicker versus spinning my way up to speed.
Is a tiered EBC setup the way to go or do you just use your foot to control spin or do you just redline through the spin? What is truly the quickest for times? I know there's gotta be people on the forum who have been through this already so no need for me to reinvent the wheel here. Any advice would be appreciated. Launching and getting a turbo FWD car up to speed is a bitch lol.
Thanks for the help!
