Thread: 1971 Datsun 1200 Videos

Well as you guys may know this car belongs to my cousin. He went to the track for the first time with the VVL set up. He needs a lot of practice. He is coming from a 9 second FWD Honda to a big juice RWD car. It takes some getting use to. The Datsun is sitting on about 700 whp right now. Boost will get cranked up later on after he gets use to the car.

This is his first pass ever. He could not complete the pass as he was worried about not stopping due to not having the parachute on yet. The car ran a 5.7 in 1/8 mile at 111 mph letting off

1.45 60' time Still should hook a lot better.

Here is his 2nd run This is what happens when you are not in the grove. So long story short he called it a night after this pass attempt. He needs to tweak the suspension a bit and get longer wheelie bars. He hopes to go back next week.

It actually has some but, they are too short. You can see them in the 2nd video. Hell if not he may have flipped the car. LMAO! He just ordered a new set they should be here next week.

god was in the passenger seat going, this isn't right...I'm out. Good stuff though man, that car is going to be amazing.
