Yeah, the ACT would not take it anymore. And that was with wimpy first gear burnouts. A low 1.7 60ft was the norm even on completely worn dried up slicks. I pulled a 1.68 60ft on one launch but the clutch slipped in 3rd and 4th to the point i wasnt even going anywhere so i let off and just coasted, then let the clutch cool down and drove around the parking lot dissengaging and engaging the clutch quickly to get it to stick again then went to do another run with just enough burnout to get the water off the slicks.
After the twin disk it was no worries, long 2nd gear burnouts no problem and not a sign of slipping period. Cant wait to get back out with the 04 6 speed trans and same twin disk clutch. Shouldnt have problems with the splines on the bigger input shaft either.
Cant wait to see some new time. Any clue on what company you are going with. If you give Dan a call at Competition Clutch he has the setups ready to go. They hold awesome and the engagement is still smooth enough to drive around on the street any time once you get used to the engagment point of the clutch. LMK.
