Thread: P10 1/4 mile times

I finally went test my car at the track, I'm looking for some advise to get better next time. I was launching the car @ 3,500 rpms with a little spin, tires set @ 21psi, also I was not warming the tires in the water pit.

My best pass N/A was:

My setup is:

95' G20T full interior A/C no spare tire

SR20VE, 16VE transmisssion, N1 cams switch @ 5500
Calum Basic 8k rev limit, AFC tune
VE intake pipe w/ Injen CAI,
VE MAF, SSAC 2.5 header, 3" test pipe,3" exhaust
Fr/Rear Prothanes mounts,fidanza flywheel, ACT XPP/6 puck sprung disc,
pulleys, IM thermo spacer, Fuzion Zri tires, 16" Konig (15.4 lbs) wheels.
NOS wet kit (36N/24F jets) 1100psi warmer set @ 1,1100 psi

It dynoed 181 whp on a dynojet. Also keep in mind that here in NC humidity is high as hell

definetly need to work on the 60ft's man. That should be a low 14 second car. But hey comes with practice. On street tires you should eventually be pulling 2.1-2.2 60's. Just comes with seat time.

Yeah I dont do track often so I know I need a lot pratice it dont help that the track that I go there's like 100 bikes on line so it's like one pass an hour wait. I was a little dissapointed but in a way I felt good cause I know the car felt solid no issues or hiccups, as previously I had slipping clutch and bad vibration without the prothane motor mounts.
I was going against a Civic Mugen he was doing mid 14's but most of the time I was ahead of him the first 300 FT, then he would catch up and get about 2 car length.

Nice for that heavy chasis, better 60's and you'll be in middle to low 14s

Well I was wondering cause I never warm up the tires in the water pit, does it help on the 60 FT ???

it does if you have slicks or drag radials, i don't know about street tires.

Why I trapped 97 MPH and only got a 15.0 ET, while everybody that runs 14's they running 94-96MPH. I know I sucked.lol launching.

60 feet time needs a lot of improvement... That probably means practice AND better tires

You should switch your cams at 5100rpm or so for better powerband.
