i'm not an expert but most guys on street tires drop the psi way down. like anywhere from 18-24psi. MY own personal theory is that it allows the tire sidewall to absorb the initial shock on launch, and changes a "resonance frequency" in the tire. this is just MY mind working on the subject....but most of us agree lower pressures help eliminate the hop.
the 60 foot shows you're probably launching at too high an rpm and just spinning valuable time away. i also would suggest stickier tires, soon. for once you get used to babying the launch on street tires, you'll kill the motor first time @ the line on slicks. ask me how i know. :o good luck and have fun
