Dre is right. I'm at about $9,000 and my motor is still not complete. To me it's well worth the money. My turbo car will go to the side once this motor runs. NA > turbo all day.

This is the truth J. We need to talk about my setup when you get a chance. No rush.

My turbo set up I had yrs ago was a hell of a lot cheaper and it was fun. But there's just something about an all motor car, the response and sound. And something about an all motor set up running as fast as a lot of the turbo guys in my area

As far as the price on stuff it can be done cheaper. I got a lot of it done for less. For one I just had mazworx sleeve the block, I assembled everything that saved a lot. Also my maf was free and my header was super cheap I did it w a friend. My intake was a total steal. And I also had a lot of the parts prior to doing the big bore so it really didn't seem that expensive..

Sometimes when I sit and add thing up its sad how much everything was. Its funny the cars probably worth like 4k as it sits lol.

yeah,

Its true. But it doesnt take no 9k for a turbo car to run those times.

I had less than 5.5K into my car and it went 11.1@132, with a best 1/8 of 7.1@108 which is an easy 10 second pass had my coupler not blown off. haha.

It can be done cheap. Hell my first t25 setup that i spent less than 2500 doing went 12.4 @110 on slicks.

Turbo is fun, all motor is its own fun. Id say for road course racing you cant really beat an all motor car. You can keep the car in power and not blow the tires off and response is dead on and you dont have to worry about overheating as much as with turbo.

I don't think anyone will debate the fact that all motor is far more expensive. Especially with out cars. Since a simple 2k w mostly oem parts will run 11s..

Example. My gtir/s4 set up trapped just as high untuned with full interior..

I Would love to have both worlds I think they are both fun in there own ways, but tomrun those times like Cory did is I feel a big accomplishment, I'm even happier knowing that he did it on pump gas and with oem cams. He he has done big things by going through this project with quite a few unknowns.' big ups to Cory

The NA vs Turbo debate can go back and forth all day long. It's all a preference but, for someone to day that one is better than the other is just flat out crazy to me.

I am just happy to see someone (Cory) finally working outside the bubble and actually building a motor and putting it to work. Very impressive. Modivates me to finish my car regardless the set up.

Gio's car on drag radials ran deep into the 11's with a slipping clutch and I promise you Gio's car does not have anything near $9,000 invested into it. If his clutch would have held on that 11.5 pass that car would have gone 11.3-11.4 at 130+ mph easliy.

Keep in mind it is a full body car with AC and what not.

I'm pretty sure he was saying 9k for an NA car.
