The downfall of a road racing slick is the stiff sidewall. They may hook up decent. I worked at a race track and the slicks that came off most of the Porsche's and Ferrari's were so stiff. They hooked like mothers in the twisties. They should help but not sure how well. We have a pair laying around so I may try them next time i'm at the track if I can't get drag slicks. I would probably go with a nice DR over those though.
Because of the stiff sidewall, I wouldn't run them on a dragstrip. I'd rather use a drag radial or street tire, if I couldn't get ahold of drag slicks.
Back in the rookie days I went to the track with a set of road slicks and I ended up donating a transmission to the track Gods due to horrible wheel hop because of the stiff sidewalls like the guys mentioned above. I would not do it if I were you.
^ like he said. I was just gonna say they might hook up ok, but I bet your going to have wheel hop. The stiffer the sidewall the worse its going to be.
