Thread: wheel/tire combo, still looking.

Buddy of mine has some 16x8 Forgeline RS wheels I'm going to try on. My biggest headache is finding wheels that will clear my Brembos. At the moment, I've only found 17s. I'm going to have to go and try on some shoes, eventually, I'm sure there are some 16s out there that will clear. Maybe these are the ones, we'll see.

Out of curiosity, I'm also stuck in the 24.5" range for slicks, but is it even likely I'll find some slicks in the area of 16x8x24.5?

Even rota d2s will clear with a 5mm spacer. If there just for slicks you can get something with a real low offset and it shouldn't be to tough to clear them. But I'm not sure, are there any slicks offered in a 16?

Whoops sorry. I guess the d2s I was talkin about were 17s.. sry nvm

Well, so far, I'm seeing nothing in slick form. I'm thinking I could get away with some of the following DOT Drag Radials.

If I go with 16s and a high offset, it will be 225/50-16
If I go with 17s and a high offset, it will be 225/45-17 or 235/40-17 (BFG only)
