New numbers with N2O VE...
Decided to take one last trip to the track. Got the bottle filled and heated the bish up with a torch. Here is the current setup:

-SR20VE motor
-B14 tranny
-ACT 6 puck, JGY PP, stock flywheel
-3'' intake with N60 MAF
-Calum ecu
-SSAC 2.5'' header
-3'' header-back exhaust
-N1 cams
-NOS sniper kit (75 shot)
-MT 24.5x8x15 slicks

I had issues with the car falling in and out VVL. I feel this is why my traps were lower than expected. Oh well.

First pass:

60': 2.017
1/8: 8.390
MPH: 84.49
1/4: 13.046
MPH: 105.52

Warmed the piss out of the slicks. Clutch was slipping as I shifted hard into gears.

Second pass:

60': 1.956
1/8: 8.306
MPH: 83.41
1/4: 12.966
MPH: 105.44

I don't know if maybe warming the slicks up for a good 10-20 seconds contributed but the clutch kept getting worse and worse.

Best pass:

60': 1.990
1/8: 8.292
MPH: 85.60
1/4: 12.890
MPH: 106.39

Bottle pressure was about 850-1050psi. Tried to keep it at least near 1000psi. I was hoping for lower twelves but oh well. Waiting for march to roll around!

How much does it weigh? I think the 1/8th mile mph matches the time. Most of the time I trap 88mph.

Btw you should enter your 1/8th mile info on the other forums list as well.

I'm not so sure on the weight of the car. I would guess somewhere around the 2400lb area? I took out the a/c, spare, carpet/sound deadening, and headliner a while back. Lol. I wanted to pull more weight out but everything was unorganized and I wanted to hit the track one more time. I'll have to post it up on the other forum!

I need to overlook the whole setup and work out any flaws. I feel like I should of been trapping around 110mph or so. Not sure if the big slicks were working against me down the track. I wanna get my hands on some 22x8 or 23x8 slicks for the next season.

The slick sizing in this situation really depends on the track. I've been using 22" slicks and having traction issues at my local track. I drove a little farther to a better one and it wasn't as bad. With that being said, I'm thinking about moving up to 24's next year for traction purposes AND so that I have more of 3rd gear to use during the 1/8th mile. Alot of times I just let out before I cross the line so that I don't have to hit 4th lol.

I'd say our cars make similar power. Your VE making some of the difference up of me having a 100 shot. I know your wanting to go up to a 100 and I'm going up to a 150 next year. Be sure to post your progess.

Bes, not to bad man. I would say you are running to much tire for the power the car is making.

Definately! I am trying to get some SR16 pistons in there over the winter but worried of the higher compression becoming an issue with me on a larger shot. Also, not sure how strong they are compared to the already weak sr20ve pistons. Depending how deep I get into the nitrous game, and if I can convince a friend of mine to make a custom IM, I may go direct port with my car as well. I'll be sure to keep updates of whats doin. I want to be in the 11's for next season. We'll see what happens!

Rob, I'd have to agree with you. Out the hole, it felt like an animal! I never launched on slicks like this before and holy crap. It felt like I was launching an AWD car! Hopefully I can get this car close to or even beyond the 300whp for 2010.

Lol your 60fts still aren't great. With a 22" slick you should get low 1.8's at least. I pulled a 1.70 60ft last time I went.

I was hoping for either a 1.7-.8 60'. The best way I could launch it was preload it at 7000rpm's and then let it loose without bogging or spinning way too much. The track was cold and prepped like crap though, go figure. It would spin half of first gear then all of a sudden throw you back. Felt like I was getting whiplash.

Traps are kind of low.I would expect 110 mph.Atleast thats what I'm expecting on my car running a 50 shot.Comparing other cars that I have raced and beat thats what I think I should be trapping.

You should check your afr.You would want it to be around 12.4 - 12.5.If its rich that could effect your traps.Another thing that could be slowing you down is not having a bottle warmer. What was your pressure after the run?Could be that when you was torching it the pressure was about right but half way down the track, bottle gets to cold, looses pressure and thats something else that might be slowing you down.

Another question. How much timing did you retard and have you checked your plugs for sighns of detonation. It could be is detonating and that also could be slowing you down.It could be detonating and you wont even here it or feel it and the only way to know is by taking out your spark plugs right after the run and looking at them. You should check the afr and look at your plugs.
