In the 1/4-mile? No I do not agree. The 300/300 setup should out accelerate the 300/220 setup all else being equal all day long. The only way I see the 300/220 setup having any advantage ever, all else being equal, is in extreme cases where transient throttle response is paramount. The only real area where N/A prevails.
Edit: I can think of a dyno graph that would let the 300/220 car win over the 300/300 in a drag race, but that would be a hugely extreme example.
