do a de/ve hybrid build/ Peter is selling his VE head setup that has all the stuff with it. He would sell it cheap as hell. Take your block and build it up for boost and put a decent size turbo on there and your set with a reliable setup.

I think he would take around $650 for the head setup with a set of Franklin Stage 3's.

It would make a killer setup if you put some pistons and rods in there. I can get you a piston and rod combo for $740 shipped. Matter fact there is a set on here right now for $500 shipped as well.

Yeah sounds like it cracked the ring lands or melted the piston if you lost complete compression on one cylinder. But probably just the lands. You know ive been there done that, haha. How much boost were you running when it happened.

Let me know if you want that head before he tries to sell it.

that sounds like a deal.. well i can get an engine for 800 though is the head built? and yes dude i wanna build the motor i want it to last.. i was running 12 psi but the boost controller failed it spiked 16psi, and i was like wtf no wonder lol. cyl 1 n 4 are gone i had 60 psi on 1 and 90 on 4, 150 on 2 and 3. lets just build it.. i can bring the motor down and tear it up. lets make it a ve monster. go all out on it.. tell peter to hold the head for me, gosh that didnt sound right. any ways why is peter getting rid of it?

oh and uh by any chance do u have a broken tranny with a good 5th gear my work horse white b13's 5th gear is popping out under heavy acceleration started doing this 2 days ago.. lol

he is selling the head because he is getting a ve motor. The de bottom end spun some rod bearings. The head has BC springs and retainers but he is swapping those out. But the cams alone are worth $450 alone. The only thing the head needs is a new set of vvl solenoids. Thats why he is selling it alot cheaper than most of the ve complete heads go for. I also have a set of CP pistons for a stock bore as long as your bore is not messed up you can use them just have the bore rehoned by the machine shop as well as the deck resurfaced.

Put a new set of acl rod and mains in it with a ve oil pump kit and then some golden eagle head studs and you will have a pretty reliable motor, Ive put about 6k miles on mine so far of hard hard abuse running 19psi on pump gas and up to 26psi on 110 octane. Never missed a beat. I still daily drive the car to work and i usually punch it ever single day several times, haha.

Neways Ill have to either sell the pistons or send them back to the company i got them from because he sent the wrong set to begin with and then i got the correct set. This is for someone elses motor btw. But 460 for the set, Thats almost 100 bucks cheaper than anywhere else.

ok great. but for those franklin cams do u need stronger springs and retailners. the solenoids is no problem i could get the hook up for them off a wrecking yard in san luis mex. off a QG18. i still need to rip the motor apart and check the bore.. im going to cali sometime this month to bring it over here. if its shot im just gonna buy a ve motor mabe. but i like that price on your pistons.. ill let u know...

well not necessarily, depends on how high you want to rev it out to. The Fs4's are basicly N1 copies. The only reason he is not keeping them is because he wants to get the 20v Lows/N1 Highs that just came out. They will be better for n/a application for added torque down low. For turbo the fs4's should be fine. There is a guy on here using the n1's with his big turbo setup and is making insane power on very low boost. Better efficiency which is less work on the motor and alot less chance of anything happening.

Ill hold onto the pistons for a bit so let me know asap cuz im sure he is gonna ask about them. haha

what size turbo u think would be great i had a gt2871r but gave it back to my buddy since im not working on the car right now.. i need to get a list and start getting them. then when the day comes go all out and put it together i hate waiting for parts..

u gonna be out this weekend let me know. so we can talk and get my baby back on the streets.. ill take my white b13 and wash it lol
