Thread: Drag slick sizes

What sizes are the B13 and B14 guys using without having any rubbing issues? Just curious because I will be buying some slicks very soon and I was just wondering if a 23 x 8.5 x 15 would fit without rubbing my AGXs.

I originally thought of using a 22" but that seemed too small for my setup, so I figured a 23 would be a little better. What do you guys run? What brands? What kind of luck have you had with them?

The slick is not the problem but more so the offset of the rim

If you get a 15 x 8 rim with a 15-20mm offset you will have no problems with 23 x 8.5 x 15

If you get a 15 x 7 or 15 x 6 then with a 30-35mm offset you can run 23 x 7 x 15 slick

You can get 2 diffrent sizes 23 x 8.5 x 15 or 23 x 7 x 15

Another key to 23" slicks is the brand lol. M&H makes them, Mickey Thompson don't. MT's go from 22" to 24.5".

Ok, so do you guys think a 23x8x15 will fit and clear the struts using the stock B14 SEL wheels?

Stock rims are defiantly not 15-20mm offset lol

I'm thinking 23x7 is best bet. I was wondering about this also.

Drag racing is straight line anyways.

Andrew(nj), have you ran them at the track yet and if yes what 60ft times are you getting and what 1/4 mile times are you getting?

No, i haven't on the day i was going to the track. i sprung a coolant leak behind the motor. so right now im gonna throw on the bigger turbo,inj etc. The car should be running in about 2 weeks or so and ill post times
