Never seen it, have any details? I wish my Realtime was functional.

on some of my buddies with there mustangs they use read switches that they attach to the clutch pedal and the mounting bracket for the clutch. so when the clutch is pushed in the 2step is on and when you release it turns off. with the read switches you can control when the 2 step turns off instead of using the clutch switch that has no adjustment. the best way in my opinion if you don't already have a msd is to use calums ecu way unless the ecu controls the rev limit by pulling fuel not timing/drop firing cylinders. if thats the case then don't ever do that with a turbo unless you wanna melt some thing inside.

I was hesitant since I'm definitely not sitting at the tree with the clutch fully depressed, I slip it pretty good to preload, but I'm thinking I can adjust the clutch cable to get me where I need to be.

Wish me luck, hope to have the car out Saturday to try the new setup. There will be video!

i tried that method before using the push button switch.

the problem at first was that i couldn't preload my drivetrain and have 2step engaged. that resulted in me breaking an axle stub in my diff, and then having to pull my b15 trans, pull it completely apart, pull the diff out and remove the stub.

after that, i adjusted the clutch so it started engaging as soon as i started bringing my foot off the floor. this worked better, but i still couldn't preload exactly how i wanted to. this also resulted in missing gears at the track because the clutch wasn't fully disengaged unless i was mashing my left foot all the way in the floor.

the decision is up to you, just letting you know the problems that i ran into.

yea im wondering the same thing as im putting my digital6 in this week. but not sure how to trigger it. i was thinking possibly the e brake handle.... so when its down it lets the car rev out, and when its up for pre loading the stutter box is active. i know miko says the clutch but it doesnt seem like it will allow for preload.

what kind of push button are you using, where is yours

Emergency brake switch should work great allows for exceptional pre-loading of clutch and worming tires up

yea, e-brake sounds like another good idea. i have a momentary push button switch that i bought from Radio Shack.

i installed it on the dash, next to the push button switches that go between the HVAC and the radio. i drilled a hole in the blank one and put it on the left side. when i have the car in first gear with my hand on the shifter, i can reach my index finger out and hold it in.

I appreciated all the input but ended up going with an ebrake switch myself.

Basically I used a 12v switch that is used in home alarm systems. It is a normally closed switch that when a magnet is held to it it switches open. Two wires, 12v in and 12v out.

I made a small bracket that replaced the stock ebrake switch and mounted in the OEM location. I then epoxied the switch onto the bracket and stuck a magnet on the tab of the ebrake handle. When the handle is down, the magnet is present and the switch is open, cutting 12v to the ignition box. Handle comes up, the magnetic field is removed, 12v through to the ignition and the 2 step is engaged.

I'll try and post some pics up when I get home. I still want to add an on/off toggle switch to the 12v out side for the burnout box.

Any reason you didn't just re-use the factory e-brake switch?

You try it, let me know how it works out for you.

Or you could just tell me?
I assume you're saying the switch is open with the brake handle down?
Nothing to be afraid of.
