Wish me luck, hope to have the car out Saturday to try the new setup. There will be video!
i tried that method before using the push button switch.
the problem at first was that i couldn't preload my drivetrain and have 2step engaged. that resulted in me breaking an axle stub in my diff, and then having to pull my b15 trans, pull it completely apart, pull the diff out and remove the stub.
after that, i adjusted the clutch so it started engaging as soon as i started bringing my foot off the floor. this worked
better, but i still couldn't preload exactly how i wanted to. this also resulted in missing gears at the track because the clutch wasn't fully disengaged unless i was mashing my left foot all the way in the floor.
the decision is up to you, just letting you know the problems that i ran into.
