I went to West Palm Beach Speed Way today and had alot of fun.
I went on 205/40/17 drag radials which are 23.5" in Dia, but I could not launch the car. I had to easy it out first and then gun it. I still did very good with the occasional bad run.
The temp was 86 degrees out and very humid, so not the best of conditions.
Here are my best runs
60' = 2.047
330 = 5.704
1/8 = 8.685
MPH = 82.06
1000 = 11.262
1/4 = 13.434
MPH = 104.17
60' = 2.117
330 = 5.831
1/8 = 8.837
MPH = 81.24
1000 = 11.345
1/4 = 13.512
MPH = 104.01
60' = 2.163
330 = 5.884
1/8 = 8.886
MPH = 81.53
1000 = 11.474
1/4 = 13.548
MPH = 104.14
60' = 2.168
330 = 5.878
1/8 = 8.890
MPH = 81.10
1000 = 11.497
1/4 = 13.692
MPH = 103.15
Now here is why I felt very good about today. There was a girl with an Acura Integra with a JDM 220 HP K20 Type R Swap in it with bolt ons. She said the car made 238 WHP, she consistantly ran 2 MPH slower than me in the 1/8 of a mile but but got 1.9 and 1.8 60 ft times with slicks. She ran 13.054 at 104 and 13.105 at 104 MPH with 23/8.5/15 slicks.
If I could put some slicks on my car and run a 1.9 or 1.8 60 ft time which I dont see as a problem with slicks from the numbers I should run 12.8-13.0 wit a 1-2 higher MPH of 105-106 MPH because of the better launch.
Also my car was full with all the seats in and I had a 50 pound part in the trunk so I am very happy. It looks like I will have to change out my brakes and put some smaller ones on so I can get some slicks on there to run a 12 sec time slip before the 2.3L VE motor goes in.
