Thread: Went to the 1/8th last night

Well I'm pleased to say I know I'm a good driver because I was beating everything there that had more whp than me. Best time of the night was

I'm still not very happy with that time but the track isn't exactly great for traction. I couldn't get into boost in first without wheel hopping like a mofo and was getting into 2nd at 5500 and then as soon and boost hit in 2nd it was all over the place but 3rd was ok. I am for sure in need of a suspension setup for the drags and slicks.

You need slicks lol. You could gain up to .5 in the 60 ft alone with traction. Low 8's are possible for sure. How much whp does the car have?

It hasn't been dynoed yet. I will do that when I put in the msd 50lb top feeds and retune. I'm going to guess about 260. I was beating 350 whp srt's by 3-4 cars so its gotta be up there. I know slicks are a must, just waiting for money. I already have the rims for them in my garage.

260 sounds like a good guess. My cars sitting at about 330whp at 16lbs and it goes through the 1/8th @ about 87.5mph at that boost. Cant wait to throw these cams in.

Get some BFG's and a suspension that can handle you loading it up right before launching the car without making the car dip to much and youll be perfect! Then youll probably wind up like me and realize your clutch isnt up to par with the power you have and youll have to swap it out like I did lol. mo money mo money mo money!

Get at least drag radials, on street tires I wheel hop like crazy, on the drags it's soft and easy. are you a red b13.
