Thread: advice on slicks

MT's & M&H are both good brands.

I have a brand new set of this 23x8.5-15 from M&H

Which wheel can I use those for my 98 SE-R?

Will this fit ok?

You can use b14ser wheels w those slicks. It will work fine. Although usually ppl say to keep the width of the slick one inch within the width of the rim iirc

For a SR20DET with aprox 220 hps at the wheels... and stock 5 speed tranny

Which slick size do you think it will work the best?

I if your in an avg weight ser w that whp you will be traping around 103sh. W a pretty stock det. Idk what size slicks for your rpm though...

i like the m&h slick myself. I have around 350 hp and when i ran my drag radials i was running them waaaaay out at 114 through the traps at 12.3 on my nitto drags 205-45-15s that have ruffley a overall dia of 22.3. Stock se-r tire dia is 22.7. The way i figure a M&H 7.5/23-15 will probebly be just right after i hook up better.

i've been running street tires @ the track last season; im thinking of going with m/t streets 205/50/15. 300hp, low miles b13 tranny, case welded,rev @ 5k rpm off the line..any suggestions?

We were running 24.5x8x15 M/T on the G20 just over 400whp Launched at 6000 RPM ...Always had good luck with them ....
