Thread: G20 VVL N1 vs RSX type S

OK I got a friend with a stock RSX type S and he's swears I got no chance on him, I will eventually race on the track and post videos whether I lose or win. I wanted to see any opinions

here's some facts:

RSX type S
-CAI
-2.5 catback w/ stock muffler
-200 BHP (advertised)
-2,7**lbs

G20T VVL
-N1 cams 8k redline, Calum ECU w/ sick tune thanks Jer 760
-WP+Crank pulleys, POP
-SSAC 2.5 to 3"test pipe back
-Fidanza+ACT HDPP/SS
-approx. 190 WHP (not dynoed yet)
-2,9**lbs

I think you will get down with him. It should be a good run.

I think it's all on the drivers. With that said it should be close even then.

This might not help you out, but I had my B13 dyno'd last summer and I had 3whp more then two rsx-s' and both had intake and exhaust, not sure about header. No k-pro either.

I have n1's 3inch exhaust and pop charger.

Nothing clear cut, as you know many factors effect dyno performance.

We'll see I'm hoping this Friday depending on weather the drag strip will open, Freaky Friday's baby.

I admit I'm not the best driver out there, but I'm planning to do some weight reduction too:
-both front and rear bumper reinforcement beams
-rear seats
-carpets
-spare tire/jack
-all 4 headrests
-run in the treadmill for an hour .lol

^^After all that work if I dont beat him, I'll be mad as hell.

Hey bro, I forgot to PM you back when I got your message. I do have another tune for you to try out finally, a buddy helped pick up some midrange and the partial throttle low end makes quite a bit more. I will burn the roms and send them to you in a couple of days when I get back to the house. So check out your times with your current tune, then see what the difference is that this new tune provides. In a month or so after I get Chuck's new header, I will have my car on the dyno for a real tune and will send you that one also if you want.
